I have a 79 Spider 2000 Manual Trans, and am wanting to get it ready for shipment to the States from Germany, I am in the military. What are some of the things that I need to do to get it ready, it has to have a 1/4 or less of a tank of gas, it is going to be out of service for about 50-60 days. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am just wanting to put gas in the car and go when I pick it up in St Louis, I am getting stationed to Ft Campbell Tenn.

well, aside from the gas what I always did when shipping a vehicle in the military was to put some of the "damp rid" pkgs in there. Silica gel like the little bundles they put in new shoes, stuff like that. Keeps any errant moisture out and the funky smells that go along with long distance moves. get her an oil change and make sure she's clean (saves the paint from swirls and scratches) and DEFINITELY make sure the battery is SECURED, if it tips and the acid leaks out it'll be an expensive mistake.
