Can anyone tell us if all the 850 engines use the same crankshaft main and rod bearings ?? We have an early fiat 903cc engine that we're rebuilding.. Do all the 850 series engine share the same bearing inserts for the crank & rods ?? Also, any good parts sources out there ?? Thanx, Marilyn..:)
 
The 850/903 all use the same main bearings and rod bearings. The 850 and the 903 have the same bore diameter (65mm) but different stroke lengths. The stroke of the 850 is 63.5mm while the 903 has a 68mm stroke, and this is what drives the bigger displacement, more horsepower, etc.
