Hey guys, I am new to the site and fiats, but not to cars. I am from the states and a co-worker of mine has a 1979 X19 with a carburated 1498cc motor and a 5 speed. He needs to change his dizzy out and asked me to help him since I am knowledgable about cars. I just wonder if you guys have any tips or diagrams to help me so I know what I am going into...

I would love to know how to do that! and I would also love to know what a dizzy is. must be a british term.

Dizzy = distributer.
And what do you want to change just the cap or the whole unit, spindal etc ??

What i found either way is to take off the top mounting that bolts onto the head, this allows you to tilt the engin back, this helps alot with creating space to work. Try to put the motor at TDC, not needed but just helps when putting the dizzy back.
