How to get spare parts?

I'm in Australia with a 1982 Five Speed 1500. (Aussie version?)

My question (s) are ...

Where can I get a spare parts for my vehicle? Anyone with Australian experiences would be great but I will like any advice and info from anywhere really.

I want to be able to source anything from dashboard switches to exhaust pipes :-)

In regards to International sources I have come across a catalog or two but I have no idea how to determine what year/model is mine as I fear that the years and models may not necessarily be the same between Australia and UK, USA etc. Any advice on this?

If you have a 1982 then it is almost 100% definitely a bertone model rather than a fiat model but other than that there isn't much to choose between.

Virtually everything remains unchanged between them except for the upholstery which was upgraded for the VS edition and later versions. The only other change was the wheels so you are more likely to have the large triangular hub capped wheels instead of the old 3-spoke style.

Mechanically there are no real differences between any of the 1500 models outside of the federal specification cars.

Been offline for ages. Just seen your reply. Yeah I'm sort of seeking out a number of small stuff like trimmings, left quarter window (untinted) with hole for side mirror etc. etc. miscellaneous stuff.

So it's a bit hard to tell you direct off the top of my head but if you have a good local supplier of ALL THINGS X1/9 then maybe I am in luck and I can compile a list of stuff. I'd need to prioritise on budget though and then work out what to get first.

Are you in Australia, UK, USA?

PS. My mistake my vehicle is 1980 Five Speed.
