Red face andrewsuesams@westnet.com.au

Hi all, I have just got the head back for my 1978 X19 1300 from the "head" guy. Of course I plan to fit a new timing belt when I put it on. Can anyone please tell me how the marks on the new timing belt line up with the pulleys? ie, what goes where?? Thanks from OZ.

Re: andrewsuesams@westnet.com.au

I would ignore the marks on the timing belt.

Just make sure you get the static timing right and use the timing marks on the backplate of the timing belt cover and *not* the timing marks on the cover itself.
