Re: Exhaust

The easiest option to obtain is the CSC exhaust which replaces the entire exhaust system. It isn't to everyones taste and the matt black finish on the silencer tends to burn off after a while (it goes white).

The ultimate option is the original Abarth system but these are exceptionally rare and certainly impossible to find new.

Avoid the ANSA systems like the plague! Not that I think you can find them anymore but I've seen a few secondhand systems around over the years.

Re: Exhaust

PBS "style" headers are pretty common, and there arew a few "short"headers out there that are aimed for better top end power. Monza, CSC, ANSA, Abarth, and a few others all made exhaust systems for the X1/9, but some are quite rare, so check old "junker X's", because you never know what you will find. (lastly) if emissions arnt of your concern, id suggest buying a long/or short header, and run a strait pipe to a Magna Flow muffler. this system should be under $300USD

The last system I tried was the CSC one and while it was an improvement it was also a deep disappointment.

Since then I've been running a turbo lump with a very simple exhaust system attached...

Re: Exhaust

id check evil bay, ive seen dual pipes there. or i guess you could try a coustom setup? i made a pic of what i think would work okay, if emissions arnt of concern for your area. though im sure a cat could be added w/ a few mods. this pic was originally to act as a "tip" for another coustom pipe for a friends X1/9, but after looking at it, a cat could be substituted in the mufflers place, and used to conect the "down pipe" to the new piece
