I just bought a 1980 X19, its been in a barn for the last 10+ years. I have to replace the brakes, rotors specifically, I have everything else removed but the rotors. Do they just hammer off? The manual I have, doesn't say how to remove them..Thanks.

the rotors are held on by the 4 wheel bolts and a pair of countersunk crosshead screws. If you have successfully removed those two screws then the rotors should just "fall" off - which of course normally means the use a large hammer with extreme prejudice.

Make sure you clean the hub up thoroughly afterwards as there will be some corrosion on the face and on the rim all of which can lead to misalignment of the new rotor.

beat the hell outta it! there is no rust that a hammer cant fix.... and if you run into trouble.....get a bigger hammer!
