i know the old tuning trick of chopping the spings to give a stiffer spring-rate, if your too poor to get a set of KYB's, but knowone ever seems to state what the proper number of coils to remove is. i dont want the thing bouncing off the bump stops, just a bit more stiff and lower. would 2 coils be too much? anyone done this procedure w/ sucsess

common tactic amongst the autocrossers - hate to point you to another forum but the place to get a serious answer on this is mirafiori.com in the racer forum (used to be called X1/9 racer forum)
