Hello all,

Just a quick question about the clutch pedal return spring.
I have just changed the clutch master cylinder.
Now I need to refit the clutch pedal return spring, but the tension is too much.
How do you fit it?

Thanks.

Simon

Well, I reckon a big screwdriver and your in this position! Had to replace the whole pedal box assembly on my last X and this was by far the easiest!
Obviously this is left hand drive, but you get the idea.

All,

I finally managed to get the spring in place late yesterday afternoon.
In the end brute strength and ignorance and a screwdriver as a lever succeeded.
There has to be a better way and so there is...
I like the idea with the washers though, I never thought of trying that one.

Thanks for the advice.

Regards,

Simon
