All,

Unless anyone has a windscreen washer bottle for sale, does another know how to fit the serrated washer back onto the water pump end which sticks through the washer bottle side.
As I don't have a hand the size of Barbie nor 10" long fingers, how do you fit the washer through the washer bottle neck?
There must be a special tool.

How did you get it out? I'm taking it the pump is held by an internally serrated washer. You'll need a very long spanner held in a vice, a magnet to hold the washer to the spanner, and a lot of patience...

so far the washer hasnt come off the end of the pump completely, its just loose.
This just means that the pump wobbles and so leaks!
Pushing it on further to give a better seal is the challenge.
suggestions anyone?

Would a 1/2" 'Tommy bar', extension and socket fit inside to push the washer?

So far I have chickened out, a member of the X1/9 owners club had one for sale so I bought it off him.
Hopefully I can fit it this weekend.
I should then persevere with the old one to repair it. Although another job is bound to loom into view and take precedent.
If I repair it I'll let you know.
