Morning all,

So I recently brought a Mountney boss for my 1985 VS. When attempting to fit it noted that on the back of it it has two sets of paired nipples rather that the original single used for indication cancelling. Has any one fitted one before?

Do I have to do some sort of modifying to keep the indication cancelling aspect?

The boss kit doesn't just fit the X1/9 iirc (I used to sell these many years ago).

The cancellation should be (or used to be) performed by a peg (rolled pin) pressed into the boss. As long as the peg is in the right position it should work. I say "should" because my experience with these boss kits was that the cancel didn't work very well and the horn was a disaster.

Part of the problem lies in getting the boss aligned correctly, then getting the pin set at the right height.
