| whats it weigh??? anybody know the kerb weight of a 1983 x1/9 and also this might be asking too much but does anybody know what the weight differential from front to back is. i heard its about 70/30 would this be correct?

| Re: whats it weigh??? Kerb weight seems to vary a bit but between 900kg and 980kg would be right and it isn't hard to shed a chunk of that as well. Balance is roughly 30/70 (a bit more towards the front iirc - 32/68 I think)

| Re: whats it weigh??? For a start Fiat never supplied the cars with 185/60r13 tyres, the 1500s all came with 165/70r13s and the 1300s came with the same (or thinner if on steel wheels). Just goes to show how accurate these magazine articles can be. Curb weight is strangely high but that could just be the Federal spec extras putting it over the edge. The weight distribution sounds more like how it feels but I'm pretty sure it is different from what I've read elsewhere... could again be the extras or the fact it is quoted with a driver.
