I feel like Frankenstein's creator.....

Please, take out your Automotive bibles (No Max Power, etc, etc), turn to page 69 and repeat after me..............

"An Uno Turbo was taken from this world, The world was cruel to said little car, but during its time in this cruel world, it came ,it saw, it conquered and then rusted into tiny peices.......................BUT with the healing hands of a young man called BIZ............its heart still lives on!"

Been doing this for a few months on and off

60S to Turbo

DAMM fuel pump!!!
Should be bursting in to life tommorrow

Re: I feel like Frankenstein's creator.....

In the words of Chas, Old Unos never die, they just get upgraded!

What a wonderful introduction; I think that you have missed your true calling as a storyteller

I had to go and verify the 'young' part (to make sure that by some chance, I wasn't still 'young' myself, I find that I'm five years too old )

That workshop pic made me laugh - is that a public footpath? Must be some rule against that!

Nice job - have you changed EVERYTHING? e.g. rear brakes, fuel tank...

Lol, Tis a good thing my young sir...............not really a fan of old shaky spear

Lol, ive had 3 engine out and 1 in on that path!
Everyone in my area knows what i do and dont have a problem with it........i get applauded to a certain extent.........."Not many people do what you do" is one that i got

nah, the brakes are the only thing that i didnt do, as my mate who is buying is at university for 4 years doing motorsport engineering, he'll be slowly restoring it so it wont be getting used on the road but ive told him that everything that is on this 60S is TURBO..........so he dont have to worry about finding parts n that lot

When i put a battery on it and the fuel pump in some fuel, its wanted to start straight away...............the loom n injection system n engine hasnt been together in 2 years!
So im happy that it still turns over and it has a very healthy spark!

All i can recommend to anyone that is storing parts is to bag them n store them well!
Double bag them in fact!

Young BIZ = 21 years and 3 months old

Go for it Biz, and create that monster

Good advice on bagging parts, more so anything metal/ aluminium. Also a good idea to put some oil in the bag so that it stops the parts corroding

Re: I feel like Frankenstein's creator.....

Im pretty fussy about lableing n stuff like that

Just cant be arsed with the hassle of finding that bolt and it makes it so much easier when re-building it, just had enough of pissing about with my project car at college because nothing wa labled or bagged!

I like to do things on cars simple and quick.........but this one has been a pain in the ariss at times.....................like the return fuel line from the pressure regulator....doesnt reach to the tank even tho it my original one off my turbo??

Re: I feel like Frankenstein's creator.....

Lol

The black one is my current and potentially my black devil

The grey 60S is a conversion for my mate in horsham

I did all the big work myself, engine in on my own and the loom
My mate pat (The south african bloke me n dynamic was with at weston wheels last year) helped me with the fuel tank n small peices

So ill only have 1 uno once this one is gone ............

But its going to a good home and will be very cared for!
