Re: need quick help

No that looks good to me too.

I once made one for a mk1, i used a tipo grill and has to decrease it width and increase its hight. After about a year the paint cracked on the joints as the filler sank. I could dig it out and skim over it again now its stopped sinking but i think the style suits the mk2 better..

Re: need quick help

i've always been partial to painted calipers, cheap relatively, quick to do right

a re-leather of the steering wheel does wonders for morale as its your major point of contact with the car, and its also not too expensive

same goes for the gear knob

not very glam i know but....going round and either tightening loose screws/bolts etc, or adding in a little rubber washer to stop the incessant squeaking

silver foil lining for the rear clusters to get a stronger light

take the car off the road for a few days whilst you:

maybe remove a few choice items from under the bonnet, the stay, brackets, hinge, and send them off for powder coat/chrome/etc, i experimented just doing a few the cheap way with a thorough clean and degrease, then spraying on that vht paint to get a nice finish.

Re: need quick help

I like the tin foil idea to make the rear lights brighter, need to make the revsering light better as it is a mare revsering up a lane when i have overshot a junction.

Re: need quick help

i like the grill your ahead of me! another mod i did a while back was to remove the door pins so the scrotes dont bend my door back and replace them with flashing led's like a porsche. looks great especialy at night, imagine there face walking up (he he i'l bend his ff' in door back and have it away) i also removed the door locks, didn't fill them but used a coach bolt from b+q the ones with a dome head cut them down as they were 6 inches long painted them white like the car used a rubber washer, big washer on the back they wont get a screwy past it. so now the only way in is to smash the window even then the door wont open HA HA HA! i'l take some pics and show ya. my mates say its a good mod and they're critical critics didnt want to fill them as theres no going back, have you got the boot spoiler it made a big difference to the rear, for 25 squid fits a treat from ebay prima racing i always thought there was something missing. the only thing i'm not happy with is the brakes BRAKE STOP BBRRAAKKEE!!!! they are crap, was after some gt ones and found there the same as barchetta and marea or brava over 1.8 and the deisels just need a bit more already adjusted the rear compensator to apply more force to the rear wheels (theres another good mod) another mod i want to do is fit the adjustable boost valve where the ciggy lighter is on the mk2 turbo hidden under the flap well there you go ANT!

That's because the original design was so right

Stick to suspension and engine mods, then go find some Golf GTi's to embarass
