Re: wats the difference

personally id go 2nd hand.

for the uno turbo u need a twin piston dump valve. anything else wont work. well, actually, twin pistons are the only dump valve that SHOULD work on a UT, but i run a diaphram one and im the only UT i know that will run one! all other UTs stall :?

Re: wats the difference

think it means you've a leaky d/v dunc, as the reason you need a twin piston is so that one allows air thru at idle when main piston is closed iirc, its to do with the air mass thingy bob iirc... so like you say when you try a single piston d/v it will stall the car

Re: wats the difference

yep all are universal but you still need to buy the correct type which is a twin piston.

something like a bailey DV26 will do. but ide avoid bailey. they make a hell of a racket which is good but they seem to break pretty easily. the ones on both my cars failed its the spring inside that buckles so it doesnt close the valve and so the car stalls.

Get a forge twin piston! There much nicer looking too and seem to be alot more rugged.

Re: wats the difference

People have different experiences with dv's, personally i would not buy a forge one as everyone i have owned had stuck at some point in hot weather/with heat soak. My bailey is 5 years old and i can recall lubing it once in all that time, i bought it and just forgot about it as it has never onece let me down. As i said though everyone has different experiences.

By the way your wastegate does not give you that noise its you turbo cutting the boost as it returns after the throttle butterfly has snapped shut!

Buy a dv if you want an atmospheric (vents to air) then get either forge or bailey its your call there are loads out there.

Re: wats the difference

I personally think you should buy either of the forge dv's i have for sale! lol

Its your money spend it how you please. The trumpet does make them louder but i dont think they are worth the money.
