uno diesel service manual.

Hi all

Looks like a fairly active board, I'm pleased to be here.

I've got myself a 1995 1700 uno diesel, and although I have a Haynes service manual to deal with most of the car, I need help with locating a manual for the engine. Apparently Haynes don't do manuals for any vehicle unless there are 70,000 in the country? I think we're a few shy of that amount...

People tell me there's a Porter manual that covers the engine for my car. Now, I'm having real trouble locating one of these. Can anyone help? I'd favour a download in pdf format, but if I have to buy one, then so be it.

Any helpers?

Thanks

Clown

Re: uno diesel service manual.

Hello clown, (interesting name!)

You're right in that the Haynes manual doesn't cover the diesel versions - not even the last Haynes Uno manual where the Supplement is thicker than the rest of the manual!

The Porter manual DOES cover the diesel Uno. I have personally seen Louie Bee's manual, and I know that he scanned a few pages to help with a cambelt change (I think it was Omer (user name osiraj?) that was in need). If you do a few Advanced Search-es, that should turn up some results...

OK I'll have a go, stand by
...
Have a look at http://www.fiatforum.com/uno-technic...ghlight=diesel

Re: uno diesel service manual.

Thanks fellahs, at least I now know what to look for on ebay.

amazon.co.uk has one listed, but it doesn't say whether it's for petrol or diesel - I figure if it doesn't say diesel, it means petrol.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1...lance&n=266239

However, the isbn number matches the quote in this thread:
http://www.fiatforum.com/uno-technic...-settings.html

So, you think I can lay out my money on a secondhand oily copy from an amazon franchise reseller?

Regards....

I'd say it's a safe bet. You could always re-sell it if needs be...
