| Exhaust systems I'm looking at building a new system that exits in front of the NSR wheel. Space under the floor plan around the gear stick (top change box) is limited of course but it looks like my only option to place a small box. I think an oval box around 18" in length and maybe only 3" in height but about 4" wide will just fit albeit it very snug. By the way i will be using a 2.5" bore. Does anyone else have a side exit nd if so what did you chose to do? I've had an omp group n system with no silencers before and i'm not going down that road again. Tom

| Re: Exhaust systems I dont think at point of mot i will have a problem, they arent that anal around my way to be honest. Good point though and i will bear it in mind. The reason i want it on that side is that there is more room and its way from the fuel! I think 2.5" will be enough i'm only aiming at 200bhp, 3" will sound fantastic IMO. I think a well made and finished side exit will look cool plus save weight reduce back pressure and sound pretty good. Each to their own luckily or it would be a very dull world! Tom

| Re: Exhaust systems I had a 3" side exit on my Croma turbo. Haha that was a laugh. You wil struggle to fit the muffler under the car but good luck. 2.5" is more than enough for 200hp. I had a 2.5" system but dropped down to a 2.25 and a quieter muffler without a drop in pewrformance.

| Re: Exhaust systems Hi Tom, What are you planning to do with your caged/tuned uno? Have you thought of competing in the BRSCC LMA Eurosaloons circuit racing championship? I currently race an uno in this, and it would be great to get some more italian beasts to join us! I havent any experience with any side exit exhausts, as I run a straight thru 2" system on my 1500cc racer.

| Re: Exhaust systems No internet at home as we'v moved.. ![]() It will be a tight queeze but i think there is room as the old system now seems to be a bad fit (5 years old and has had run ins with speed bumps and on or two groundings on lanes..) and there is quite a bit of room above it, enough for a 3" box i think. I cant afford to go racing to be honest and i think the class it would be in would be a bit out of my league. I cant afford adjustables or a set of 4 pots at the mo so its not really good enough to compete. I will take it to the Nurburg ring asap though and maybe the bug will bite! Tom

| All Hail the Woodsman | Re: Exhaust systems Hey why not a front mounted exhaust, instead of existing behind the car it could come out left and right of the front wings.

| Re: Exhaust systems I have looked into this a bit and apparently its illegal to exit in front of the driver. There is also even less room so its not really an option ![]() Tom

| Re: Exhaust systems Yeah i think death in any for would have its downsides. Dunc if it happens judging by the turn of pace i ahvent shown in completing my uno it will be around this time next year. I wouldn't go unless i had a set of 4 pots and adjustables either. My friend took his gt their and said the two most important factors are handling and breaking. Some parts of the course are very quick and you need to carry a lot of speed through the bends. Tom
