wheel enquiry??


Could any one tell me please,
what in their experiences would be the biggest wheel i could
squeeze under the Uno arches??? cheers..

but 15s are the sensible option.

Yeah, 195/45/15s fit tightly enough for me.

ok thanks... as i got a set of 17s lying around thort about putting them on...
but they 215 40 17 rear and 205 40 17 front... i guess they would scrape wouldnt they??

Test the left-front wheel first, as I think you'll find it will hit the gearbox. Mine rubs, but anything more serious and it will be an MOT fail.

If it is just the wheelarch lips, they can be folded/cut away, but remember also that the wheelarches must cover the full width of the tyre (in the UK).

I think if I actually had the wheels (rather than just considering purchase) I would go to a little more trouble to try and fit them Although the tyre overall diameter will be too large. This is a very good page that includes a calculator for overall diameter (remember that standard fit on the Uno Turbo was 175/60 13): http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html
You have to scroll well-down the page to get to the Tyre Size Calculator (not the Vintage tyre calculator!) which is after the Tweels.
