Thank you all!

Unfortunatly me and my uno were involved in an accident last night.

Don't worry i am 100% ok (Bit of whip lash) and i will be claiming against the third party

But i just want to say thanks to everyone in the UNO section and everyone who has helped me.

Also any of you who think uno arnt safe (including me before last night) have a look at this, there are the only pic's i have sorry about the quality these show what hitting a lampost at 45 does to your car.

- ALWAYS wear your seatbelt - i would of been through the screen easily.

Here are before and after shots.

PS if you want any parts its in A1 salvage in Aintree (Where the grand national is) they are on yell.co.uk

The only parts that are broken are,
2xwheel trims
2xfront suspension
2xwheels
1xheadlight
Bonnet
Grill
Front bumper
Front window screen
Both drive shafts
Both front wings
Engine 999cc Fire still runns!!!!

It didn't even break the radiator!!!!
As you can see the rear of the car is still mint.
PS it had clear indicators, Body coloured mirrors, boot release

Re: Thank you all!

That's terrible news Wi11, such a gorgeously maintained car!

I hope someone will be able to salvage all the best bits and that your poor car doesn't go to waste!

Ah man that is heavy. Glad to hear that you are all ok.

It is such a shame, only a few days ago we were all admiring your spotless Uno and now it is a write off (?). Will you be buying it back and repairing it or is it beyond hope?

Really bad news W1LL, especially after how nice you'd managed to make the car look with all that hard work. Just as Pottleflump mentioned, we were all admiring it only the other week...

Poor Uno - RIP

P.S. Buy it back off the insurance and repair it! Doesn't look that bad to me

Re: Thank you all!

Will,
can't think of any more words to say - so sad.

Over here in NZ, if the car looked that good, most people would take it straight to a top-notch panelbeaters and have it fixed. Guess our labour rates are lower, but it seems such a waste not to.

The main thing is that you're OK. Tell us about whatever you end up doing?

Re: Thank you all!

I would buy it back but unfortunatly my volvo (T4) needs an new cam belt and a service so thats £300+ quid!

Plus the misses would hit the roof!!!

Anyone is welcome to it as i say its in a salvage yard now!

I am going to wait (and possibly wait more) for a black UT - thats what i fancy so i am happy to wait for one to come up as i am confident that i can make almost any car look as good as the old uno!!

I understand what your all saying and i know its not a lot of work or money (I recon £250 for parts from here!) But i wanted an UT conversion anyhow - this way i can have it with the payout may buy it back for the shell as there is no way its bent at that speed and its in relly good shape - keep it stored till i get the UT and play a bit of swapsy whilst rebuilding the Turbo Engine!

I love it when a plan comes together!!!
Silver lining and all that!!
