Re: Advise pepole!!

No, but it's a good choice for the Tipo

Seriously, that's going to take a lot of work and hassle to fit in an Uno. You'd have to adapt gearbox, driveshafts, etc. I've never seen an Uno fitted with a twincam-family engine. Why not just get the Tipo instead...

Re: Advise pepole!!

take one small lightweight road burner, and add a way too heavy engine, not designed for it, into the nose and what do you get? a car that may be fast in a straight line, if you can get the power down, but would be eaten alive by a half sorted tub/70sx through the twisty bits, dunc shows the way.....

Well...
I agree with Turboned, what you are attempting is not worthwhile OR an ambitious project, depending on your viewpoint. It would be cheaper/easier to import an Uno Turbo engine.

How about the Lancia Delta - any of those available? That uses the twin-cam engine, so you can put your 2.0L in that if you wish.

Or you could fit a tuned 1580cc motor to your Uno (also out of a Tipo or certain other models). With twin carbs, a hot cam, and worked cylinder head, you'd give a standard Uno Turbo a run for its money.

Where are you in the world, anyway? What are the most popular performance cars there?

Re: Advice people!!

I'm from Egypt, most of the people are here bimmers, jap., and VW ...

about the steering problems i know about it,
....Ut engine if i found it, it would be double the price of the 2.0, and don't ask why!!! no body knows

about the delta, it's a dream, about 10 (max) are runing in the streets

the only choices (that i can pay for):
1.4 (waste of money) (2400 L.E)
1.6 (from Dedra i think) (2700 L.E)
2.0 DOHC 8V (2500 L.E) (don't ask why!!!)
2.0 DOHC 16V (2500 L.E) (really don't know why!!)
(10 Egyptions pounds = 1.34966 EUR )
I want a 5 sec. car, I don't think the 1.4 or 1.6 can reach about 200hp, right?

Re: Advice people!!

why not just find a complete uno turbo car in the first place?
you can probably get a 70sx engine close to 200bhp. you must be able to if you can get a 1.0 FIRE to 130bhp!

to reach these limits, I'll spend on the engine mods. more than the total cost of the car.
