(G) who do people quote bull crap figures!

191bhp???!?! well, excuse me, to get 191bhp of of a uno turbo is quite a challenge and some serious mods need to have been done! as for the mods he's listed, there is no way on earth it will be running that! most people on turbo collective are only running around the 140 - 160bhp mark and thats true figures!

bah! sorry for the rant, but winds me up!

you often find people like that take quoted power gains and add them. eg an exhaust adds up to 10bhp so they add 10.
RR seession would burst there bubble my cinq turbo running 1000bhp would have em

its not so much this but big named companies selling bolt on stuff claiming wild power gains. i blame the max power culture. for example, companies claiming 200bhp from a 1700 ford kent engine. do me a favour.

theres some bloke on another forum i go on who said that the R5 GTT he had just bought had 400bhp!

Dunc, it's simple really. People quote bullcrap figures for two reasons:

1. It compensates for their small willies and makes them feel like more of a man.

and/ or

2. They're trying to sell their car to a dumb Chav (innit?!) and Chavs believe that all those bolt on goodies really do up the power by 200bhp.

So if people quote unproven big power figures to compensate for small willy size, I only have 45 bhp. I wonder what that means?

The standard engine will see around 300bhp but wont come cheap. Then again not much would be a match for it afterwards either.

But as for the Uno. Id be more worried by the fact he has apparently put a Koni suspension on it yet cant spell koni right. And the multitude of other spelling mistakes would just put me off not just the pub figures he seems to have put up there.

Think I would rather start from scratch than buy a ready maxed motor... mate bought a Nova a few years with suspension so stiff that stress fractures formed on the inner wings around the front suspension turrets

finding a standard uno turbo is like finding a gold mine in that back garden it doesnt happen very often.

its not exactly maxed out anyway.

none of the 14 previous owners did much to it.......
