Smile Amazed

Well yesterday I took my gf home and it was raining really hard.

Here in Malta we dont have good roads and they have no way of getting rid of water quickly. Well yesterday was one of the worst I have even seen. Water everywhere...and the roads were so flooded I couldnt tell where the roundabouts and pavements where. I drove the whole 5 miles in 1st and 2nd gear flooring it to move (the current was strong).

Many cars were still on the road as the rain caught us by surprise (it was at night). The uno was struggling against the current and the lights started dimming....still it didnt give up. It kept moving jerking once in a while.

Well today I went out to check the car and all was fine....except for the number plate which came off onto one screw and go bent under the car. What amazed the most was that on the way home...on the same road I was a freelander was stranded, yet the uno kept goin....Good car in my oppinion and not sorry I have one!!

Re: Amazed

Drinu gotta love the Uno it only stalled once because of the CV joints age. otherwise its just a wake up and drive car as well. Love using it in the rain here in the Philippines, wiper speed is just great

talk about wipers...i miss my rear wipers so much its been a year since somebody yanked it off..

never tested my uno in flooded roads. i just notice that drive belts tends to slip once in a while on hard rain. that's normal i guess...

good car...yes...

Re: Amazed

Hey, IR rear wpers are available at Jam motor parts.

Drinu,

I never broke a sweat in our Uno. The aircondition is colder than most ten year old cars I have ridden into. of course it was installed locally by the distributor.

thanks man. i really miss my wiper a lot.

sometime ago i clipped a digital thermometer to check how cold it is inside the uno in summer. as far as i remember it read a scorching 37 degress celsius outside and inside its just a comfortable 23 degrees. dark tints really helps a lot.

drinu and the rest of the guys here definitely never ever need a cooling system.
