Hey, I'm pretty new to the forum but have been browsing through lately and picking up a few tips and what-not.

I've recently got an X1/9 with Uno Turbo Mk 1 engine which I decided to pull apart for a rebuild and a bit of TLC.

I've got a gorgeous bodykit coming from Australia for it the X and a few things planned...

Have new camshaft - pipercams spec (maybe a little over the top?)
Head being gas flowed and ported currently
Possibly get larger exhaust valves? Any ideas if any other Fiat ones fit?
Will upgrade Turbo - maybe IHI VF10 of T25?
Will upgrade injectors to ~300cc
Get new EMS - possibly Megasquirt?
Custom exhaust - nothing really available for UT in an X :)
Oil cooler
As large an intercooler as I can fit in the bay...
Uno Turbo brake upgrade

Anyway, the main headache has been sourcing new pistons/rings. I've had the block cold-tanked and she looks beautiful and new! But the local engine reconditioner said there was about 3-5 thou wear in the cylinders. Now I can get 0.4 thou oversize rings from a Mitsibishi to fit, but probably not such a good idea on a Turbo if it has that much wear?

Do I need new pistons if I have this much wear? I know a few of you have changed pistons to oversize ones and I would appreciate any info on what part numbers you used and companies. Did you have to get custom ones made? Also prices would be great as I'm down under in New Zealand so parts are a little harder to come by.

I see someone is running VW Corrado pistons? Is this an easy swap? Basically I need some advise as I can't seem to find any substitute pistons - I've had a look through plenty of catalogues etc and still nothing.

Thanks in advance...

PS - any other recommendations for upgrades (within reason) would be great. I'd like 180hp but would settle for 150-160 :) Cheers
