I've got a Mk 1 Uno Selecta, not perfect, but a nice usable classic. Unfortunately these cars are almost worthless and I'm considering a change to manual.

I have two gearboxes, complete with gear linkages, one from a 1.3 70Sx, the other from a 1.1 (both same year as the selecta)

I see that the splines for the clutch are smaller in the 1.3 but I would reckon the clutch plates would be the same diameter.

Can anyone tell me if there any difference in the gearing of these boxes? I would prefer to use the 1.3 as it's from a lower mileage car?

I'm also wondering, anyone know if the selecta driveshafts are the same for the manual?

Hi there

There are a few things more to consider when replacing the gearbox than jus the linkage or clutch. The drive shafts including the cv joints must be compatible too.
I am in the (slow) process of replacing my mk2 gearbox so I am having a few challenges myself but I am learning and with the help of some great guys here I am sorting it out.
Pmy me if you like to exchange some more ideas.
