you could have probably used a hose to adapt to any other filter unit,
with your engine issue - get the black cover off the timing belt , and see what state things are in..,

I thought something like that.
I cannot see how another housing cannot fit on the carb and just adapt the pipe as that has never been there since I bought the car.
Unos for Africa Charges R2850 for this unit. Have attached picture.
There has to be another unit that fits the carb and I can just get a pipe to work with it.

I have the same problem UNO air cleaners are very expensive if you can find one. I have ordered an HKS pancake filter with 100mm input diamension, R595. Yoy get cheaper ones as well, around R360.
