first of all I must say I'm new to the forum. I'm only 18 and have my license for about six months. I have basic mechanical knowledge. recently, i bought my first car which happens to be a 1.0 fire uno. i bought the car around a month a go. three weeks ago i noticed a warning light on the dash. it looks like a sprinkler. when i filled the car with a mixture of water and antifreeze it went away. for about 20 days it seemed fine only to reappear when driving on the autobahn. car is mostly used around town and the light doesnt appear when driving slow and for short distances. however there is like a hose missing on the engine which purpose i dont know.

what could be the problem with fuel injection?

My experience with the 1.2 palio mpi system which has the same warning light is when the injector fails it normally comes on , if a noticeable jerk or misfire is present then that would most likely be one or more of the injectors

Have also seen this light triggered by faulty lambda sensor or could even be something to do with the thermostat, as it seemed to be affected by topping up coolant. Do you have any other symptoms such as poor running or temperature gauge not getting up to normal?

warning light only comes up when the engine was runnig for about 10 mins, so i think it's the lambda sensor fault. also the car kinda shakes on idle periodically about every 3 seconds, sometimes the throttle response is delayed by about 1,5 seconds. yesterday it started giving it throttle in idle it seems that went away. I also found a forum thread on the punto which had the same warning light as mine and it was due to the lambda sensor. so I'm guessing that's the problem.

hi,:)
the oxygen sensor is detecting unburnt fuel - from the misfire,
you have either a spark plug / lead or coil pack issue:eek:

check the plugs 1st;)
