Hi everyone
I have fiat UNO 1.0 45 i.e & recently after a car hit to the right rear side
I started to hear strange noise coming from the back of the car
I began inspecting & found out that it's coming from the fuel tank
There is a metal bracket with a wide base that is freely moving inside the tank
I don't know it's P/N or what is it's purpose
I hope if anyone knows about it

Anyone who have had a look inside UNO fuel tank ?!

All you should have inside the tank is something that looks like this

See the black float on an arm sticking out. That should be the only part moving about and goes up and down with the fuel. My guess is that has been dislodged. Is your fuel gauge still accurate? Lift the back seat base and you should see a cover to get to the sender unit. Get it open and out for a good look.

Do this in a well ventilated area and dont be bloody smoking. (y) Other than that all i can think if is a strap holding the tank in place has came lose/burst and rubbing/knocking something.

The other thing is, Uno petrol caps tend to seize up over time, & sometimes when they seize up completely people break them off by hammering the lock though, which results in the workings breaking off & falling into the tank, which then roll around inside during cornering (& can damage the gauge sender).
