Hi all,

Can anyone help with removal of bonnet cable at release lever/handle end inside car (on a Mk2 Uno)? Found old thread on Fiat Forum which goes as follows (member johorridoh mentions tailgate but pic is of interior bonnet lever):

"First loosen the lock of the tailgate. Then release the cable through the small gap in the holding fixture. Push down the plastic lid in the frame of the grip. Now you can tilt the structure over the bottom of the cut-out. You can release the end of the wire now".

Not sure how this works in practice without breaking the lever! :confused:

I`ve not had to do it before, but I`d imagine the cable, once disconnected from the other catch end, will pull out of its seat (2), then the cable will slide across into the groove (1), then the whole thing will pull out through the lever:
