Hi everyone,

Need a little advice with my uno,

It's a 1987 Mk1 60s 1.1, the cambelt has snapped and bent the valves, I can find cambelts and head sets easy enough but really struggling to find replacement valves or even a complete head. It's the earlier 1.1 with the yellow timing cover

I've heard that engine is similar or the same to the one in the 128,

Anybody know if that's true, what might be compatible or where I could find a set of valves? Listings for valves on eBay seem very generic and just want to make sure I order the right ones.

Can't seem to find much info on the engine online other than the basics and want to get the poor thing back up and running soon as,

Any help would be most appreciated thanks

If it has engine code 146.A4.048 (which it probably had), it is correct that it is a 128-derived engine, also known as the Lampredi SOHC. You might also find your info in tuningsites for these engines. Probably any 80 or 80.5 bore 8v-head would fit, but i cannot state this for certain.

Because of the damage your engine might have had (i would replace no less than the entire head, with the risk that alsof the engine below might have damage), i would suggestie that a swap with a complete other unit. Depending on tour skills, any replacement up to a 1.6 carb tipo/tempera engine might not present too much problems.

Hi,
also found in Strada and Regata,
here maybe ; http://eper.fiatforum.com/eper/navi...INT_MODE=0&EPER_CAT=SP&GUI_LANG=3&WINDOW_ID=1

maybe search for MiddleBartonGarage on google, ancient FIAT specialists;)

In addition to my previous reply, if you decide to go for a swap, it is easiest to stay away from spi's or electronic carbs, so a uno or ritmo/Strada/regata (like stated above) would be the best solution.
