Hi uno guys, so last week I was browsing through an online auction and saw this 1993 1.0 uno i.e start. It's only done 47k miles and looked pretty solid. It's only had 1 female owner from new too

I figured If I didn't buy it it would only be going to the crusher so I put a bid on it and won,

Got the car home yesterday and gave it a good going over with the pressure washer and had a good look around it.

It needs...
A rear exhaust section which is getting delivered tomorrow £6.93 it cost ?
Gave it a oil and filter change today, topped fluids up and put battery on charge.
Also needs air filter, few small bits of paintwork and a sunroof seal which I am struggling to find!
Wheels and trims will be repainted, gonna order some new tyres. Need an ignition switch and a cowling for the steering column.

Going to try and keep it as original as possible to retain value and economy ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1431437906.369888.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1431437951.753223.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1431437962.792219.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1431437973.748538.jpg

Been at it today, ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1431545578.864034.jpg new exhaust rear section fitted ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1431545636.889558.jpgfront brake pads and discs replaced, everything cleaned up greased ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1431545717.586929.jpg fuel tank, rear axle and sills undersealed. ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1431545805.600087.jpgnew timing belt and tensioner fitted, started painting the wheels too. Going to give the rear brakes a good going over in the morning and need to source an ignition switch and sunroof seal, other than that it's nearly ready for paint and mot

Not updated for a few days, progress is as follows.... Brakes rebuilt all round, sunroof repaired. ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432304598.772862.jpg car primed and ready for paint ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432304632.071218.jpg then it got painted, ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432304654.240291.jpg pulled the car out the garage just after it was painted and the door smacked the wall and put a massive crease in it, it was repaired before the end of the day and repaintedImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432304731.104388.jpg yesterday we machine polished it and gave it a really good waxingImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432304848.243997.jpg moved the car up home as it's almost done now, just waiting for the steering column surround and ignition switch to arrive, ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432304907.891828.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432304917.097817.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432304926.249117.jpg I'm pretty impressed with the finish, it looks immaculate, just a shame the seats are a little faded. Anyone know of any products that can restore colours in fabric seats?

I'm not sure to be honest, I can't find any of the stickers anywhere it keeps it original, however. I prefer the look of it now. I might just get some printed then the next owner can decide what to do, don't think I'll be keeping this one that long.

The uno passed it's mot yesterday with no advisories, brakes are fantastic, engine runs really sweet, no rattles or bangs, it's like driving a brand new car,

only thing I don't like is it has odd tyres and they seem to be budget ones, gonna have to find some decent ones, well chuffed with the car though, got pulled by the police too, they loved it and commented on the condition of it

Have you decided to keep it indefinitely now?

Unfortunately not, I'm just in the process of doing up my classic panda 4x4 at the moment so this will be up for sale within a month or so most likely. ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1432764919.507498.jpg this is my 4x4. The uno is a lot more refined and economical but the panda is something I just don't want to part with. Open to offers on the uno though.
