Hi all,

I drive an Uno Mia 2000 model.

No problems aside from excessive fuel usage.

I've noticed the following and it makes absolutely no sense to me:

I'll fill up the tank and drive a week using about a quarter tank.

As soon as I hit a three quarter tank I drive the same distance the following week and watches as my fuel drops like crazy. Half a tank that week.

Back to the last quarter of the tank, same distance travelling then the fuel usage is normal for that week; a quarter tank.

I've had the fuel pipes checked - no leaks
The carburetor checked and did a repair kit - fine
I do smell petrol and really bad at the back of the car on the right hand side (at the fuel inlet) but not always.
No leaks when it stands still
Only happens while driving.

I am out of options as nobody can find anything wrong.
The tank was half full yesterday, drove to work and back (16 km all round) it drop 3 stripes.

Help please!!!!:bang:

Check youre breather pipe that comes out of the tank and runs down the side where you fill up. It runs down inside the mudguard. Sometimes it gets clogged with mud etc, if its clogged the evaporating fuel will go through the fuel cap. Check the fuel gage that is situated under the backseat as well if the seal dont leak. Check youre return pipe to the tank too. It is plastic and may be damaged by something you hit on the underside. The best is to start the car and get underneath to see if returning fuel may slightly leak. Remember the fuel gauge dropps slowly from the top when the tank is full and sometimes go crazy on the way down

Hi,
I have fiat uno 70ies 1370cc year 1995 with electric fuel pump.
I noticed that the seal is leaking a little. It cause a fuel smell inside the car. The fuel pump is functioning ok.
Is it possible to buy the seal kit to fix it, or I will have to buy the all fuel pump in order to solve this problem?!

I attached the fuel pump photo, the seal that links, is the seal of the head of the pink color part !!

Please help me :bang: Thanks in advance !!

Best Regards,
Eli
