Fog lights + tail lights

Anyone know from where I can get some Uno MkII fog lights? I found some locally but they cost quite a bit. A whole kit including wire kit, foglights holders, relays and switch for 68 sterling! Is that a lot? Anywhere else I can check? I tried ebay but found nothing.

Also, I saw some cool MkI rear lights (the lenses) and I was wondering if they would fit the MkII since they are quite similar!!

on the rears, dunc is the one to talk to, i think he went from mk1 to mk2 lights, with a little fettling. i'm sure the reverse would be true too.

as for the fogs, ebay will be your best mate, or trawl the scrappies, exchange and mart is worth a look for the speacialist italian breakers

Re: Fog lights + tail lights

If possible I dont wanna change the rear bootlid because I already have a rear spoiler attached to it!! I actually have to spray paint it again because the paint has started to flake on it!!

Re: Fog lights + tail lights

£68 sterling for the whole front fogs kit is a pretty good price. Then again, if you can find an SX Uno being scrapped you can probably get the bumper with built in lights plus all the wiring for about £20 or so.

As for the rear lights, Dunc fitted mk1 units to his mk2 so he could fit the mk1 turbo tailgate. Only the mk1 turbo had the lightweight plastic hatch with built in spoiler, the mk2's went back to steel with no spoiler.

So to fit mk1 lens to your mk2, you would also need to swap over the whole light units, not just the lenses. Then you would HAVE to fit a mk1 hatch as the mk1 lights are a slightly different shape to the mk2's. The mk2 hatch I think would catch on the edge on the mk1 lights.

As far as I'm aware you can't just swap the lenses from mk1 to mk2 and vice versa.

Go for a mk1 rear conversion because they look really cool

Re: Fog lights + tail lights

As far as i know swapping the mark 2 tail lamps with mark 1 tail lamps is straight forward but changing the tail gate is a little trickier as the hinges are in different places. So you would have to make slight changes to the mark 1 tail gate to fit onto the mark 2 hinges. And you would also need a mark 1 parcel shelf too.
