Re: Did they ever make a 3 door non turbo 1.4 uno?

I don't think they ever made a 3 door 1.4 SX, at least not for the UK market.

They did make a 3 door 1.4 i.e., though they are very rare.

There is a mk 1 1.3 3 door S, or maybe even SX. However, they were very early mk1's and were superceded by the 5 door SX. I've never seen one on the road, as most were on A or B registrations, and most of those have long since rusted away.

Maybe try and find a 3 door 1.4 i.e and upgrade it to SX specification?

I've just checked through some old brochures and it appears that the 1.4 was never available with 3 doors in the UK. Only the 5 door is listed in UK brochures.

I found its a different engine (1.4 and 1.4T) accorting to porter - they have different bores and strokes

Re: Did they ever make a 3 door non turbo 1.4 uno?

The 1.5 litre European spec Uno used the same basic engine as the X1/9 and 1.5 Lancia Delta, which was also just a bigger version of the 1.3 as used in the Uno. The 1.5 was later updated to 1.6 as used in the Fiat Tipo and the later Lancia Delta, and the 1.3 was updated to 1.4 as used in the Uno and also the Tipo.

So it looks like it should be a fairly simple swap to drop in a 1.6 litre Tipo engine into a 1.4 Uno or a 1.5 X1/9 engine into a 1.3 mk1 Uno!
