Good day/evening

I have a 90's Fiat Uno Pacer 1.4 with a carb. I would drive for about 10 - 15 minutes then the engine would cut out as I stop at a robot or if I am in heavy traffic with continuous stop-'n-go driving. When I try and get the car started up again I can hear the alternator going but nothing, not even a hint of the engine wanting to fire up. I would usually have to leave it for about 30+ minutes then I can start it up without any issues and drive home. The car would perform fine for a few days then the issue would randomly show itself. Today the issue has gotten worse with me unable to drive a few meters without the engine dying out. After the first time that it has happened the entire distributor was replaced and then the issue seemed to go away for a while but showed up about a month (give or take) after.

I'm pretty sure this topic has been exhausted but I haven't really seen a concrete solution to the issue as of yet.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.

I have the same problem. I had the car at several mechanics non of them where able to find the problem. Sometimes when I'm driving on the highway it also starts to "sputter". Today is one of those days where I can't get the engine started at all. :(

We replaced the module on the distributor, the new one seemed to get extremely hot and just recaused the error a day later (after having made a few trips without fault) so we decided to get another new module of a different brand and installed it yesterday, so far so good.

Glad it seems that you are sorted.
Things to check as well would be the condition of the CARB and the vacuum pipes as well.

Get some CARB cleaner spray as well to clean the CARB of any dirt.
