1993Uno 1.0ie, 999cc FIRE type with Bosch SPI system.
Can anyone please advise if this vehicle has a MAP sensor, what it looks like and where it is located?

There is no pipe going to the ECU so I presume that it must be one of the multitude of items under the bonnet.

Thank you, [email protected]

If it's like some of the early 1993 Pandas (1.0ie, 999cc FIRE type with Bosch SPI system) it won't have one [:0]

It has electronic distributor driven off the camshaft, which is independent of the ECU, although the ECU does get a sniff of what's going on for engine speed information (AIUI).
It's SPI.

Slightly later Pandas have no distributor, twin coils with wasted spark, and a MAP sensor.
I don't know if these are SPI or MPI.

Aparently there were a lot of changes during 1993.

Thanks to all. If indeed the Bosch system does not have a MAP sensor, that will explain why I cannot find one. My two SPI Pandas (both Marelli) do have a MAP sensor but not a conventional distributor, so that would explain it.
Thanks again. Pete.
