| FIRE 999cc Carb or Injection Hi All, I need some help, after binning the rally car last weekend (see Oh Ar$e thread) i need to buy another Uno ideally i want a Mk II, 999cc FIRE engine, 3-door in white. But do i go for the injection, these engines come with a better cam, but the compression ratio is lower, so which do people think would be better ???? Thanks for any help / advice Cheers

| Re: FIRE 999cc Carb or Injection The 999cc fire only had two cam shafts available from stock, the stock and the one used on the panda 4X4. There were two compression ratios available, 9.8:1 up to 1988 and 9.6:1 after that injection or carb it uses the same compression. The engine will work well with up to 11:1 compression ratio if you adjust the timing to compesate the head skimming. How much are you allowed to modefy? | |||
