My rear turrets.

Hi All,

One turret in my MK1 45S is good – the other is a bit rusty . Also the boot floor pan is going round the edges, and there is a big hole there the bumper is supposed to be bolted on.

Wonder if it’s worth having plates welded in – or do I have to replace both parts.

BTW Dunk has spent most of the afternoon trying to get me to sell the MK1 – so if you know of A really good MK1 – his friend wants it for a Turbo conversion.

Regards,
Lewis.

Re: My rear turrets.

there was a guy that posted a thread about his turrets after he'd ahd work done on them.think he had plates welded on from what i can remeber! just cant remember what the thread was, although the hint of a "shocked owner" title springs to mind

Re: My rear turrets.

that was mine, both rear turret came away at the seams, with them flapping about, all the rust had to be cut right out to clean metal, and then new plates shaped and welding in, check back and the photos are in an old thread in this section, very nasty!

ps louis, is this the white one?! godammit!!!!! low down shame....sigh

Re: My rear turrets.

I've seen much worse. For a Mk1 that's not bad.

Re: My rear turrets.

LOL TurboNed,

U should be ashamed of your self for letting yours get so bad . Are you holding the damper up underneath? Thanks for the post I guess its not going to be too hard to weld in a little plate on mine.

Don’t know if I was showing off the fact I have 3 good turrets or moaning about the other being “a bit rusty” I guess if I found 4 good ones, I could guess this weeks lottery numbers or some other miracle.

Regards All,
Louie.

Re: My rear turrets.

Hi All,

Cheers Uno_94. I'm glad she passed Wish I could keep them both, but I'm gona have to sell the red one soon . Yes Dunc the red one!!! LOL

I don't know weather to sell her with the existing SX front bumper (with fogs needing wiring) I could swap for a fair few quid.

I might put the amber front indicators back and sell the clear ones, same for rear arm rests, steering wheel, SX clocks, odd seats (drivers is base rest are Turbo), and parcel shelf with JPW Mini Monitors mounted and hidden.

I'm going to keep the Ice, central locking kit and Jamex Sports line Lowering kit for sure. May find some OK replacement for the stereo.

Not sure how much to ask for her with or without the mods I may remove. I also have the smoothed boot with spoiler + blacked window to sell, and the rear bumper - I promised the front one to Chas, I'm not sure if he has a MK1 SX bumper sorted now. Oh yer I have a pair of rear opening windows to go too (fit MK 2) - need a clean as I pulled off the Tint sticker. They need new toggle mountains and screws. The front glass should really go too - They aren’t road legal - need tint sticker removing.

I have far too many Uno bits and bobs here at home – I want my room back Help

Kind Regards,
Louie.
