Re: doors..

The pockets on the doorcards of unos are screwed on from behind.

Im not sure if this is the case with punto ones but theyre shouldnt be a problem, unless the punto pockets are longer than uno ones.

Mk1 Uno's have a combination of having the door pockets screwed in from the front AND behind! From memory, there are two screws at each end of the pocket that screw in from the front, and the lower section is screwed in from behind.

Just to confuse matters!

Re: doors..

Looking at the door pocket I was going to refit to the 3 door MK 2 yesterday, there is space for 3 screws front and 4 back.

Can't remember if all the back ones are used I took it of in January and been missing it since.

i think the people designing it, just got a drill and drilled holes where ever they felt like it

Re: doors..

The big pain with the door pockets is that they make it impossible to fit speakers properly - unless you position the speakers higher up in the door. See http://www.fiatforum.com/uno/20227-cheap-sound-deadening-success-speaker-install.html for ideal location of 4" speakers...

If you're happy to have the speaker flapping around with the door card, you can screw the speaker onto the door card, then attach the door pocket, and refit the door card to the door. But this IS sucks, as a friend of mine would have said. You really want the speaker screwed rigidly to the door metalwork. To do that, the door pocket can't be in the way.

Unless, as I have just decided that I will do with my Uno Turbo, you drill some holes right through the pocket so that you can get a screwdriver through. (Well, why not?)

Re: doors..

have been told that the punto door pockets have "pods" on them for speakers to be fitted, if they do and if they will fit the uno doors then that is all i am looking for if not.... custon jobbie for fun
