(G) Rolling Road Today At 4pm

yup, the time has come to get my car rolling roaded! was meant to go last thursday but it was broke! grrr

anyway, rang them and all is well! so i'm off up there at 4pm! i'll let you know how i get on as they gotta sort a boost leak, sort the fueling, sort the misfire, and set the boost to 20psi!!!!! come on!

ok, forgot to let you all know what happened lol!

got my car onto the rollers and they found a couple of probs! my air flow meter (AFM) is knackered, dump valve leeks and my boost leak is from around the turbo area (one of the pipes not the turbo itself! phew!!)!

so, rang my mate, he's giving my 2 AFMs and all boost pipes that are around the turbo area so i can replace them. also i got 2 other dump valves lying around so i'll just whack another one one!!

once i sorted that i can get back on the rollers and get it fully sorted! so, bit disapointed but not all too bad really!

right, well i just got in from swappng over my air flow meter to a spare one, swapped my dump valve to a twin piston jobbie i had lying around and changed my dump valve take off to a silver one (just cos i felt like it lol). just got boost leak to find but i thni ive sorted it by tightening a hose! anyway, booked back on rolling road for tuesday 3rd may!!

I've been busy treating my baby to some goodys as well lol, replaced my standard turbo cos it began to smoke quite badly with a nice sexy shiney hybrid T25 , new red samco coolant and boost hoses, Front and rear OMP strut braces and an alloy header tank. Skint as foooooooooook tho mate!!! lol Its always the way i guess

i'll deffo let you all know how i get on, dont really know what power to expect.its all about how its setup and how it pulls not all about power figures but 170+bhp would be ok i guess hehe

Dunc matey how far do those flames shoot out from your exhaust pipe? I feel like gettin a flamer kit but dont wana melt my bumper in the process lol And how do you set it up and control it etc?? Could you tell me some more plz Thanks

right been back to the rolling road today and they set my boost to 18 psi and ran just under 170bhp. my engine spec will easily get me to 200+bhp but i need a full alloy/bigger cored intercooler, bigger downpipe(3"), a 3" exhaust system as im getting too much restriction at the moment, some bigger injectors (saab 9000 turbo jobbies will do) and the throttle butterfly area boring out a little and a bigger butterfly fitted. with this i should see over 200bhp still at 18 psi! then i can wind it up a little more to 21 and see what i get then!!
