Hi My Dear Friends,
Wishing you a very happy new year.(But it seems for my car not a happy new year:)). My Uno 1.0 i.e radiator fan suddenly stopped while driving and radiator plastic parts got cracked:bang:. Needs to replace it. In Sri lanka its difficult to find out FIAT spares:cry:. I am planning to fabriacte a radioator from local manufacture. He inspect the radiator and told me existing one's core (tubes) diameter is larger and could made out from smalle diameter tubes. Also he told that existing one having two parellel tube banks and new one could fabricate with smaller three tubes lines. According to him this will improve the cooling efficincy. As all you know UNO 1.0 i.e is base version and comes without A/C. My one having locally fitted A/C and increasing engine cooling efficiency will may help no?. Here day temperature arounds 30 degree Celcius.
My problem is increasing one more pass will affect the engine badly? Cant If we put bottle separatey what will happen?
any one please could help me on this.
Thanks friends

Yes, I think it will be better to go with the local knowledge.

The radiator of the 45 model is usually enough, but if not, you could fit the larger radiator of the Uno 70 or the full-width Uno Turbo radiator.

If you do fit your own design of radiator, you will probably need a pressurised tank (has spring-loaded cap) separately in the engine bay.

Hi All
Thanks Alex for the ideas. I have already fabricated a local one with inbuilt expansion tank like original one. But they have put an opening on the neck for a separate expansion tank too. Now I have to made that one. Otherwise when engine get hot coolant spills out. Following questions are with me.
01. Is it necessary to have the expansion tank cap in air sealed?
02. Vent tube need to have any valve ?
03. Expansion tank should kept over the radiator upper water level or not?
Thanks all of you in advance folks.
