Technical Nicer steering wheel

I recently bought my first Fiat, a 1999 Uno 1.1 (must admit that I'm loving this car, all my prevoius cars were VW's) and the first thing I did was to fit an aftermarket steering wheel since the original did not look nice after 12 years of use. I decided on the Isotta Katiena, and it actually does look nice on my car. I'll upload a photo as soon as I can to give you an idea what it looks like on my car.

Edit: Here is the photo, quality is not that good since it was taken with my phone.

That looks ... not bad. Esp the thickened bit where your hands rest on the wheel.

I was thinking of a standard Fiat wheel from another model. What about the X1-9 - will that fit, operate the flasher cancel etc? No horn push reqd, no airbag.

Being new to Fiat, I cannot give a good answer to that question - but when I bought my aftermarket steering wheel, the shop where I got it from had at least three different boss kits for Fiats. The boss kit recommended for my Uno didn't fit at all (my Uno has a small hole in the steering wheel where the plastic pin fits into that cancels the indicators). In the end they had to use one for a Punto, I think.

My advice would be to remove your steering wheel and have a good look at what everything looks like (you can even take a couple of photos). Go to your nearest breaker and see what they have.
