Keeping the boot open

Does anyone know will the boot supports or lifters on the Mk2 Uno work on the Mk1. The Mk1 has only one support whereas the MK2 has two. Will one of the supports on the Mk2 keep the boot up on the Mk1.

People, staff meeting has been cancelled. You all have one goal today: to get Vincent Chase’s brother, Johnny Chase, a job. Any job! I don’t care if it’s a porn shoot in which he is being gang raped by a gaggle of silverback apes, if there are cameras rolling, everybody wins. 10 grand for anyone that can deliver this to me, today.

could it be temperature dependant then? Like the warmer the better as the air inside the cylinder is less dense therefore more pressure

Re: Keeping the boot open

My wife has a 94 Mk2 Uno and the boot stays up all the time. There is good pressure on the lid. I saw a 92 Uno in a scrap yard at the weekend and the boot just flew up. I was thinking of taking one of the struts for my Mk1 if it would hold it up.

Re: Keeping the boot open

Must admit i have no problems with mine either having a Mk2.

Well give it a try Get one from the breakers cheap enough then it dont matter a great deal if it dont work.
