Re: does any1 know???

My haynes manual for the uno doesnt cover diesel engines, so you may have to look a bit harder. Try from haynes themselves. Other than that, the only other workshop manual for an Uno went out of press a few years ago IIRC. Some copies were floating around on Ebay...

Don't think it exists, but the everything else besides the engine is the same.

Thumbs up Porter Manual for Uno Diesel!

Hi All,

The Uno FIAT UNO Porter Manual covers all (UK) Unos 83 – 96! Including the Uno Diesel
FIAT part number 46000980
ISBN 1899238239
Porter port number: PM 3823

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...043164-9858845

No way!!! - Look at the price - £65.57 – I paid £5 off e-bay a few months ago – not seen one since (apart from mine!)– A guy who works for FIAT saved one or two from the bin lol. Brand new!

It's got loads of info missing from all 3 Haynes manuals I’ve had in my time - 2 Orange covered ones and the newer red cover one (which I hate!)

Kind Regards,

Re: does any1 know???

Hey Louie,

I also picked up a Porter manual off Ebay for about a fiver last year. They do come up every now and then but you have to keep your eyes peeled.

Also, I agree with you about the red and orange Haynes manuals. The orange manual was for the older Unos, and is a 'workshop manual'. The red one which also covered the mk 2 models was a 'service and repair manual' if I recall correctly.

I hate those Haynes 'service and repair manuals' that they now seem to do instead of 'workshop' manuals. I mean, they rate the difficulty of doing jobs from 1 - 5 spanners! And they seem much less easy to use for anything more than basic servicing, plus they aren't as comprehensive as the 'workshop' manuals.

I still use my trusty old orange Haynes manual and the Porter manual to good effect. I use the red Haynes for basic servicing outside where I don't have to worry about the pages getting dirty!

Chas

Hi All,

Chas, your spot on about the titles – I’d missed that!

Absolutely ! Do you have the same problem as me? – too many manuals and conflicting information eg. Torque settings

My first orange manual got soaked in vegetable oil when a bottle exploded in my first MK1. When I got the Mk2 and a red Haynes manual I binned the orange one after a while it smelt so bad.

I had to buy another orange one when I realised the red one refers to some diagrams by page number – the red one dose not have page numbers as such and the diagrams or pictures are missing – so bad editing…

Sy your welcome M8! –Good luck with your search!

Re: does any1 know???

bit of a long shot and most don't keep them anymore, but there may be a chance your local library has something. just go onto their website. it's most likely they won't have it but you never know.

they might be able to get hold of a copy from another library in the country.
