I don’t care if it’s a porn shoot in which he is being gang raped by a gaggle of silverback apes, if there are cameras rolling, everybody wins. 10 grand for anyone that can deliver this to me, today.

Re: one for the turbo owners

Thats tragic, it makes them rarer than a lot of traditional classics. I have recently noticed uno turbo's popping up for sale in classic car mags. They are lovely cars and think they deserved to be saved.

There is an oldish guy who lives a few streets down from me who has a silver mk1 turbo antiskid. i wonder if he know's it is one of 18 in the country!?

Phil

Re: one for the turbo owners

Cholmes, I think Phil_Harry meant the anti-skid model. They are very rare because very few turbos were ordered with this option. In essense it is an early form of anti-lock brakes, though from what I read it wasn't that good a system and has lots of extra things to go wrong. In fact, I don't think 'anti-skid' was even available on the UK mk2 turbos, which probably says something about the design..... And it probably cost a fortune to put right when it did go wrong, hence not many being left on the road.

Re: one for the turbo owners

Oh and Luke is right. Kit cars like to use the turbo engine, and also it is a popular swap into an X1/9.

A couple use the whole rolling chassis too, its pretty much a case of cutting the bodyshell off, relocating the petrol tank, stiffened suspension and put the new shell back on. Its called a Bobcat i think
