Have to admit that a lot of interior colour coding I've seen looks pretty Ugh! Personally I'm not too keen in colour coding dash tops or instrument cowling tops. If the colour is too bright it also reflects badly in the windscreen and is disconcerting while driving. That's why most manufacturers use blacks/ greys or dark matt colours in the first place!
Also, it's hard to paint plastic effectively. Often the paint chips or scratches easily and ends up looking pretty scruffy.
However, colour coded detailing if done tastefully can look pretty good. Little bits highlighted can make a difference, but going over everything in the same colour just looks over the top.
Still, each to their own. And my Uno still has the lovely dark brown dashboard and interior! Taste indeed!
