Re: fag lighter

Find a uno with one and remove it, there's a black (?) weird plug behind the fuse block, (check doing voltage check and removing the fuse) plug in = sorted.

Re: fag lighter

I wanted one too (not a smoker but needed for various devices like yourself). I got one from another car and used it but still used the correct plug and fuse

Re: fag lighter

They are likely to be made illegal soon (ish) though. Also, I expect with these "you get what you pay for"

Re: fag lighter

Radar dect.? What will they achieve?

I thought the indication they give is too late anyway, as you'll already have been caught?

Re: fag lighter

To be fair they do work. Well can't speak for all of them but the one I've seen (road angel I think) works really well, gives you good warning of when one is coming up as well as a few accident blackspots even where there are no cameras.

As for the power socket if you can't find one there just buy one from Halfords (I got one under £5) and stick it in... erm can't remember where I wired it to but obviously you have to search for a suitable wire.

Dont you have a mount in the top centre console that flips up thats got the mount and the ashtray?

Punch out the blanking plate and wire it in. If you dont have a plug there (dont think mine did) the brown wire is the constant 12v power supply... (i wired my headunit off this too).

Re: fag lighter

Yep, it mounts there, BUT if you intend to use it for devices I would mount it elsewhere - it looks better and you don't have to have the flap constantly open showing off the ashtray.

Re: fag lighter

the plugs that fit into the faglighter space are small enuf to shut the lid agian so that it is just a wire showing i think, not too sure, if it doesnt it should close half way-ish lol

Re: fag lighter

Mine multivoltage plug was large so the lid wouldn't close, if I was doing it again I would have mounted it behind the radio on the plastic section there.

Not saying you need to of course, just suggesting

Re: fag lighter

Road Angel is GPS based, nothing to do with lasers etc.

I have a similar thing to Road Angel on my phone for a fifth of the cost.
