hi everyone.
a few days ago i fitted on my 1.0 ie the SX clocks, the only problem that i have is the temperature gauge, it doesn't move at all.
so i would need the wireing diagram to see wich wires should i check or maybe if anyone knows wich wires are the +, - and the signal for the temperature gauge.
thank you.

Did the old pod have a temperature gage, or just the overheating warning light?

if it just had the warning light, then the cylinder head has a temperature switch in it, where the temperature gage needs a temp. sender ;) you'll need to get a temp sender, it is the one that's kind of on the back face of the head, behind and lower than the oil filler on the fire engine.

Back to the dash.. If you open up the pod you can follow the signal pin to the gage along the circuit board, or I think it's the same pin as the Turbo dash coff…. Just like this lot one a the turbo lads posted ages ago..

I fitted an SX pod in my 1.0ie Uno, and the Turbo one (just to test it) and they have the same plug pin setup as the base pod (which in the UK has a temp gage). it's the same pin to get the rev counder going (add 1 wire to the coil)

OK I'll attach them incase they dissapear from the link...

The quick check is to have a look at the temperature sender (sensor) on the right-hand end of the cylinder head (screwed into the polished aluminium near the cambelt cover).

Black senders are usually only a switch - which won't operate your gauge (except to 'peg' it if the engine ever does get really hot). :)

Red senders are usually gauge senders - they have a variable resistance that you can check with a multimeter.

If you can find a wrecked Punto 55/60, etc. that has a temperature gauge and the FIRE engine, the sender will be useful to you. The other engine types have a different size of sender.

thank you for the quick answer, i already have that temp sensor, putted a new one yesterday.
unfortunatley, those schematics wont help, because i have these clocks

as I said, I swapped the SX for turbo and everything that worked before worked with the turbo pod (y) the pins ARE the same on the SX with a few aditional for things like oil pressure / temp ;) (y) (pin 6 on plug E)

I have clocks like those, as bought from Louie.

They are "teh sex" :D

Try testing the temp sender (screws into the engine block at the back) first to see if that is actually working, then check from there.

Divide and isolate :)

thank you all for your help, i finaly found the signal for the gauge, and with a tester found the +, the sender is ok because it is brand new, to make it easy for anyone else who has the same problem, the signal is the grey wire with a white stripe for my uno 1.0ie 1991.
