Would a roll bar from a Seicento/ Cinqcento fit an Uno, or are they completely different widths/ shape?

The Uno roll bar looks a little like the one that can be found in the guide: https://www.fiatforum.com/uno-guides/45105-fitting-turbo-anti-roll-bar-45s.html
The Uno one seems to not have the raised bulge in the middle though...

The listing doesn't show up Ucof:

However, do you mean this one?

I very much doubt that a 'Cento ARB will fit straight on to a Uno without modification. Most anti-roll bars look generally the same but what you need to account for is the dimensions and of course the thickness of the bar to know whether it would be suitable for the Uno. Additionally it is very unlikely that the brackets will be compatible and these are often the most important things to get hold of being model specific. You are of course welcome to try to fit a 'Cento ARB but I don't think you'll have much success!

For finding an ARB you need to get one from any Uno Turbo (mk1 and mk2), mk2 SX and mk2 diesel models. It doesn't matter which model you want to fit one to nor whether it is mk1 or mk2, the front suspension is the same basic design on all Unos and the ARB will fit all of them. Apparently mk1 diesels may have one as well though as they're so rare I've never had the chance to check.

Cheers for that, I dont know why it doesn't work, it was a direct cut and paste - must be the forum link shortening that did it.

Cheers for the Link Louie, I'm tempted to get one after my next pay cheque.

Chas - yeah, I think that was the one I meant.

Fit an Uno ARB as they are out there ;)

Why bother trying to fit one from a smaller car

Make sure it comes with ALL the brackets though as they're useless without them. In particular the inner combined TCA/ ARB 'L' shaped brackets as these were unavailable from Fiat when I asked them a few years ago. They're also not cheap if you can buy them as old stock!

Yer as Chas says above with the L brackets!!

They you'll need to work out how to fit them

One Tip I'll say is NOT to fit loose and torque up later I got one of the M6 bolts cross threaded and had to start all over again, but when I released the outer push, Boing!!!! the ARB sprung up and chopped through the CV boot  Oh what fun that was (n).

Here are some standard outer bushes with brackets http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEARL-PB4309-...icle_Parts_Accessories_ET?hash=item2eaa67897b

(item Z200427407739QQcmdZ)

you'll need 2 and probs will need replacing if you get second hand any way.

(item Z200427408718QQcmdZ)

you will probs need 2 new ones, in less you go for superflex bushes which work out cheeper than above when posted and much nicer

and YES they are the inner and outer ones (y) fitted them on my MK1 :D but no new outer brackets :(

Been there, done that ;)
When working on anti-roll bars, it's essential to raise the whole front end and support on axle stands - not to raise just one wheel. Otherwise the weight on the other wheel twists the anti-roll bar and you are fighting against it.

Little thread hijack do the forino ones fit as they seem lot more comon in breakers atm?
Hijacks are always good :)
Especially if they provide a useful suggestion . . . .
AND
Perhaps the Forino van ARB could be stiffer? [thicker diameter]
as it deals with the heavier weight of a diesel lump in the front.......
I wonder..........

I'm not sure - isn't the Fiorino based on the 'clam shell' bonnet south American Uno? I think there are some differences to the suspension (the front turrets/ inner wings are a different design) BUT I think the lower suspension parts are the same. I'm assuming as well that the Fiorino models you're talking about are the diesels, as all mk2 Uno diesels also came with an anti-roll bar as standard. Again I'm not sure if the petrol Fiorinos came with an ARB but I could be wrong.

Also Joolz, I don't think there are any differences in ARB thickness for the Fiorinos compared with the turbo and diesel models. I remember checking on Eper years ago and there was only one ARB listed. Eibach did offer an uprated ARB for the Uno but I doubt if you can buy one new now and they go for silly money with they come up for sale second hand. Plus I don't think it's much point uprating them as they are pretty effective as standard. If you want to further stiffen up the front then fit uprated springs ;)

i'm sure its not looked apon that well, but when i've had to stiffen up anti roll bars i've cut CDS steel tube in half and welded it on wth a good dose of arc weld.
far better if you can get a thicker bar from another similar model and if needed trim the ends down a little.
