Re: performance figures for>

yeah, they feel loads quicker than that standard. just put a bleed valve on and turn the boost up to 14psi as the uno turbo are blueprinted to run this as standard but only run 7 psi cos fiat decided that was enough.

getting parts is fairly easy mate, don't worry about it. but then again there aren't as many parts/spares/tuning parts floating around as there are for renault 5 gt turbos.

but if u want a rare hot hatch then u gotta expect this

hope this helps

Re: performance figures for>

Hey, the 1.1's decent too.

I completely ragged a Corsa today. It was the type of Corsa with huge bodykits, wheels and exhaust. Probably loads of MDF sound install too which adds lots of weight. Either way there was 3 of us in my Uno and I left it twice. Once from 20 off the roundabout and then after it came right up my arse top-end from about 65.

A1 Stirling Corner area if anyone knows it. Was great fun.

Re: performance figures for>

R5s are lot faster off the mark 0-62 in 7.3 seconds due to their light weight but in 3rd gear an Uno Turbo will pull away extremely fast and obliterate the R5 as i found out last night whilst racing my best mate with his R5 GTT which he has just bought. :P
Just goes to show you Cant Mess with The UNO TURBOS!!!!! By the way he was running about 1 bar maybe more of boost and i was running standard boost as i'm still running in my new head gasket. But even with simple mods K&N induction kit, Exhaust and Dumpvalve i still kept up with him without really trying hard either so very pleased about that. Just goes to show that a simple tune up and good set up of the car is more important than having Loads of modz really...

Re: performance figures for>

well, if u modify a uno properly then u will blow alot of cars away due to the power delivery and their gearing and abilitly to rev to 7500rpm!

best cars to blow away are posh nob cars like lotus elise (all show no go) hehe

but book figures for these cars a polo g40 is quicker (but im not scared of them )

Re: performance figures for>

It's a misconception that the Elise is all show and no go, it's got a 0-60 time of 4.9 (111s) to the highest which is 5.6 (type 25). A sub 5 sec 0-60 isn't no go, well, at least not in my opinion. This before we even consider tuned ones remember.
