yeah that isthe bit im after mate the bit that surrouds the gear stick and the little bit aftr that

Or he took it out.
Or it was removed already when he bought the car.
Or it was abducted by and probed by Tom Cruise.
Or the OP hasn't looked hard enough and it is still actually there.

basic versions don't have it... here the 45 and the "normal" Diesel don't have that console..

Gav, read my first post again LOL!..

:p

any Uno with botom shift box didn't get it ;). the gear linkage goes under the car so there is nothing to cover.

The late base unos (including my start) have a topshift box so need to cover the in car linkage infront of the leaver (y)

not the best pic but..

not sure if the dash and centre console are from the 88 45s shell or the 86 turbo .

either would have had a bottom shift box so I don't know.

can't remember if my base MK1s had the box under the head unit.

as for you it sounds like you'd have to replace the while centre console, from vents down.

As standard base and 'S' model mk1's didn't. Only the SX and Turbo had the extra box section below the head unit and the additional gear lever console. Here's a pic of my 45S with the standard dashboard and then another with the SX centre console being fitted (same as the turbo).
